During the seven weeks of ‘Entangled’ we’ll focus on individual artists here on our blog. ‘some things looming’ is pleased to introduce: Deborah Livingston-Lowe
Deborah Livingston-Lowe is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design where she majored in woven textiles. She has worked in many capacities, both academic and practical, in the discipline of historic textiles over the past 30 years. She has hands-on knowledge of antique textiles from conserving, restoring and appraising textiles for public and private collections. She draws from this knowledge to bring depth to her works of fibre art and unique woven yardages for garments using period techniques and equipment.
