During the seven weeks of ‘Entangled’ we’ll focus on individual artists here on our blog. ‘some things looming’ is pleased to introduce: Lisa Bennett
Through the use of traditional craft methods, I create objects that aid in attempting to satisfy a desire for a connective experience with one’s interpersonal and environmental surroundings. I explore interactions between people and their environment by using these objects as intermediaries to an action or a concept. The artworks that result are feminine, obsessive, and ridiculous yet humorous monumental undertakings of playful exploration.
